Despite completing high school in the sciences, which led him to begin higher education in the field of Biochemistry, his passion for cinema always manifested itself since childhood. The pursuit of this professional fulfillment led him to the School of Applied Arts of Castelo Branco to study Communication Design and Audiovisual Production in 2006, where he produced and directed his first short film, ‘The Ace of Spades’ (2010), as his final course project. The short film was selected for the international film festival ‘No Limits Film Festival 2011’, among others.
In 2011, he interned under the European Leonardo Da Vinci program at the production company ‘Flatlight Films’ based in Rovaniemi, Finland, where he was able to perform duties as an Assistant Director, Cinematographer, and Editor on various productions, including music videos, documentaries, short films, and web series.
In 2011, he enrolled at the University of Beira Interior to pursue a master’s degree in Cinema, which led him to produce and direct the short film ‘The Man Who Rowed the Boat’ (2013), winner of the INATEL Foundation Prize 2013 and selected for over a dozen festivals, including ‘Curtas Vila do Conde 2014’, ‘Madeira Film Festival 2014’, and ‘Caminhos do Cinema Português 2014’.
In 2013, he founded ‘Loser King Production House’ to carry out various audiovisual works, the most recent being seven documentary pieces on Traditional Crafts for the Municipality of Castelo Branco.
